No video for 64-bit?
I amd runnign standalone on windows 8.
I tried to drop a video file into the sprites folder, and I get:
"video files are not playable in 64-bit mode until soundspectrum transitions to using AVfoundation"
I can't find any mention of this on the forum.
My first test was to launch the 32-bit version located in programFiles(x86). I put in a wmv and an mpeg. I got no error on startup, but when I tried to activate either sprite, I got an error message.
Can someone either point me to some documentation or help me understand the correct action? Is there any timeline on video support for the 64-bit version?
Thanks!

The problem with 32-bit standalone not playing videos seems to be resolved.
Quicktime must be loaded in order for the videos to play. The beta release 5.1b3 now automatically scans for video sprites and loads quicktime if they are found.
I upgraded to 5.1b3 and confirmed that .mpg and .avi both correctly play now.

WHO ARE YOU REFERRING TO WHEN YOU SAY "WE'VE HAD A FEW USERS WRITE IN...". YOU GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT YOUR SPEAKING FOR SOUNDSPECTRUM - YOU ARE NOT. PLEASE BE MORE CAREFUL WITH ANY FUTURE POSTS.
