How to save set up with toolbar?
I like using the toolbar to select the list of waveshapes, colormaps, etc. I remember in an old version you could save the current set up to file.
In the latest version, I can't figure out how to save it. I tried using "set" on the standalone, but it only saves the current combination, and doesn't save the checkbox settings.
Am I missing something obvious? I tried setting up a custom theme using the standalone menus, but it appears you can only have one custom list for each category.
Just in case I am not clear: I would like to use the toolbar to select/deselect the pool of waveshapes, colormaps, and waveforms. Once I have it I want to somehow save the settings so that I can reload them later. How do I do this?
Thank you very much for your help!

Hello andyhuston
All the information you need can be found here - you save your selection as a 'Theme'.

without going into a lot of detail, using the on screen GUI (in lieu of the toolbar) I think you have to FIRST set up Custom (new) Object categorizes (collections, i.e. WaveShapes, ColorMaps, ... ) and THEN use GUI->Setup->Theme Editor to link the various Object Categories to a Custom(new) Theme. It is pretty intuitive once you understand, but you do need to navigate around quite a bit when first setting things up. For ME, once the custom category collection files EXIST, I edit them by hand.

@jarohm, I tried setting it up through the GUI just as you said. However for each category there is only one "custom" category. It seems this limits me to only being able to define one set of waveshapes, etc. I can edit by hand if needed. Can you point me to the location of where the the lists are associated to their category?
You CAN certainly create the category collection [files] by hand, 'cause that is what I have been doing from the start.
On a Win7 based machine, they are stored:
C:\Users\User_Account\AppData\Roaming\SoundSpectrum\G-Force
(search down for "(Custom).txt" template files)
You HAVE to be careful though, because for example, if you
"copy (Custom).txt (Tst).txt"
you ALSO need to edit the internal header data info:
CategoryTitle = "(Tst)"
Once the file exists, the GUI picks it up.
I AGREE that it doesn't seem that the GUI supports the creation of these Object Category Collections at this time... report it as a bug.
Another thing to watch out for (or remember), is that the "(Custom).txt" files start off with NO Objects... which can lead to some pretty unremarkable visuals

BTT - You (THEY) are correct IFF you try to set them with the toolbar... The toolbar might allow you to select additional Objects, above and beyond what is set up in the current theme, for THAT session, BUT as far as I know, you need to set things up using the GUI (or hand edit), if you expect them to be there for subsequent sessions. (that make sense???)

Hello andyhuston
THIS INFORMATION TAKEN FROM SOUNDSPECTRUM'S DOCUMENTATION IS INCORRECT AND NO LONGER APPLIES
You can save your selected FF / CM / WS and Particles using the Toolbar, in fact it's the easiest way to do so. Open the Toolbar, at the bottom under Toolbar preferences you should see Current Theme. Once you have selected or deselected your preferences, click Current Theme and Click Save As, enter a name of your choice and Click OK. Next time you start G-Force with the Toolbar running go to Current Theme where you will see your saved Theme, click that, and G-Force will only display what you selected.

Hello andyhuston
I am waiting on a reply from SoundSpectrum regarding this issue, they will either reply here or mail me direct in which case I will post the reply.
To me the Toolbar was all about being able to select / deselect configs then saving your selections as a theme. Stupid idea to remove the option. Guess I could make a list of all the configs I don't want loaded with G-Force, then delete them from their relevant folders, but what a pain.
