I agree the Apple reference is pointless, but I don't see an integrity problem. At the time I paid for a couple of SoundSpectrum visualizers, they met the current compatibility claims of SoundSpectrum. I'm realistic. The length of time since the release of Lion without an update indicates SoundSpectrum makes little money from the Mac version and it is a low priority. That's a business decision, and it's theirs to make. It sucks for me, but it makes no sense to ask them to act against what they believe is their own best interest.
As for me, I chose the increased functionality of the current OS over compatibility with visualizers. That's my decision, and I accept responsibility for it.
So, don't worry. Be happy. Or scream in despair as the mood takes you.
