Hello again,BTT wrote:I have created 305 ColorMaps for G-Force, 27 were included in version 4.2 and Andy has included another 30 in version 4.3. This means that the remaining 248 ColorMaps will never see the light of day. I would be more than happy to send these to you by email if you wanted, as an Administrator of the Forum I have access to your email address so you have no need to make that public.
Anyone else that would like to have the other 248 ColorMaps I have created just post here and ask.
Regards BTT
As I mentioned in my other post, I updated to G-Force 5.4.3 (Platinum) a few hours ago.
I work on a 24" iMac running Mac OS X "El Capitan" 10.11.3, and I use G-Force as both a standalone screensaver when I am not on my computer, and also as a plugin in iTunes 12.3.2.
I just came across BTT's comments regarding additional colormaps and was wondering if they can also be used with the OS X version of G-Force.
If so, I have two questions:
1. Can they please be emailed to me?
2. Where do I put them? Would I just drop the individual files -- or perhaps their entire enclosing folders -- in the following location on my hard drive?:
~/Library/Application Support/SoundSpectrum/G-Force/Categories/ColorMap/
Currently, only the following files reside in the aforementioned "ColorMap" folder:
Bright Background.txt
Candy.txt
Infernal.txt
Low Saturation.txt
Pure.txt
Voltage.txt
Or -- and this seems more probable -- if the ColorMaps are actually PNG files, being as they are made by BTT, would I actually place them here?:
~/Library/Application Support/SoundSpectrum/G-Force/Packages/G-Force.ColorMap.package/BTT/
Thanks in advance.
Hi iMacUser,
Thanks for writing.
So, what you are looking at in the first address is the Categories folder. If you open any of those TXT files, you'll see that they are lists of ColorMaps. This allows you to access groups of ColorMaps by their similarities. You can create your own Categories, if you'd like.
The second location actually has the ColorMaps in it. The BTT folder is full of the ones that BTT has authored.
Finally, any ColorMaps should be usable on either OS because PNGs are not OS-specific.
I hope that clears things up! And if you have any further questions, I can be contacted here:

Hello iMacUser
The ColorMaps you requested are waiting for you in your mail box. Just simply unzip, and shove them in the BTT ColorMap folder. You will need to re-start G-Force so it recognizes the new maps. Hope you enjoy them.

I just installed them, and look forward to some new and interesting permutations.
