Detailed Description of Bug
Before the update to iTunes 10, if I was playing songs from iTunes on either my MacBook Pro or using the Mac Mini to throw it up onto the TV and using G-Force as the Visualizer in Full Screen, I would be able to click the mouse/pointer/cursor anywhere on the screen/TV and have G-Force in the Visualizer revert out of Full Screen and back to iTunes. Since the iTunes update, I'm now unable to get out of full screen G-Force. I can't click, double-tap, etc. to exit and am stuck with iTunes playing and G-Force on the TV/MBP. I have to now power-down the mini in order to exit G-Force.________

Update

I'm able to use Command/Option/Q to exit iTunes, but since that shuts down iTunes, it's not the best option. Command/Option/Esc, the Force Quit command for Mac, does not seem to work.

every time a new version of itunes comes out GF has to be changed, dont know how new ten is but if its a recent update Andy will be making it compatible but it takes some time. imagine you compile your new beta for itunes 9.9 then 2 weeks later itunes ten comes out and its been changed enough to make GF work differently now you have to go back and do it again to make sure all customers can use GF with ten.

hang in there

Same issues here, but im using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit with 8 GB Ram and 512mb Nvidia 9800/gtx+.

And still iTunes has totally slowed both Soundspectrums G-Force 4.0 and Whitecap New Beta Version 1, whilst running minimized or maximized, and also makes it impossible to use the "shift+enter" function to easily toggle fullscreen mode.

Luckily the new Whitecap is still in beta (1st release a few weeks ago) so it may be patched in the 2nd release version assuming it is easily implemented.

Also looking forward to Windows 7 Media Center support for 64 bit models, at the moment we are stuck for visualizers with only the defaults available for use directly within the 64 bit paltform which only has WMC the 64-bit version.

Thanks from Alf

Itunes 10

I have had a similar problem with itunes 10. I am using it on Windows 7 and have had no problem with G Force before downloading itunes 10. When i play G Force at full screen it works but skips every few seconds. When i have the visualizer on normally (not full screen) itunes crashes after about 2 minutes. Is there anything I can do or will G Force just resolve the problem themselves eventually?

Hello all,

SoundSpectrum is aware of performance issues with our visualizer plug-ins running in the recently released iTunes 10 and we are working hard to determine where the issues might be stemming from. If the problem can be addressed within our software then we hope to release an update which addresses these performance issues as soon as possible. If it is a problem on Apple's side then we will do our best to notify Apple of any bugs that they might hopefully address in an iTunes 10 update.

I apologize for any inconvenience, though we hope you can understand that we cannot always account for changes that may be made to new media players and operating systems the moment they are released. However, we update our software frequently to address things such as full compatibility with the most recent and popular media players, and we hope to be able to provide full compatibility and usability within iTunes 10 very shortly.

I only started using GForce as a screensaver since the last iTunes update, so I have no idea if this is a bug on SoundSpectrum's side or on Skypes. Someone who's been using the screensaver for a longer period will have to verify if it's a bug or not.

I have Skype set up to give an audio notification whenever a new chat message has arrived. Ever since I've been using GForce as a screensaver, the tone can't be heard while the screensaver is running. Using my old screensaver, I was able to hear the tone even if the screensaver was running at the time.

Thanks for the fixes in the 9/16 update. I can now exit full screen visualizer by hitting the ESC button on my MacBook Pro.

Before iTunes 10, I was able to click the cursor anywhere on the screen and it would also exit full screen. That capability still isn't there, which makes it difficult when using the Mac Mini to view iTunes on the TV. I use Rowmote on my iPhone as a remote device to control the Mac Mini, and there's no ESC button. Any way to return the capability I'm writing about?
