Ver 4.1 Problem in ToolBar Red/Green Light Arrow Selection

Post by bnh »

Using Version 4.1 on Dual Core PC, Windows 7 32-bit, StandAlone

There remains no difference in Red / Green light selectability of WaveShapes, FlowFields or ColorMaps in the ToolBar, as reported in greater deatail on previous post titled Sequential - alphabetical function not working in GForce 4

The problem can be seen by unchecking all but two configs (WaveShapes, FlowFields or ColorMaps). The behavior of the Left-Right arrows remain the same regardless of whether the Lights are Green or Red.

Or, the problem can be seen by focusing on one config category. Uncheck all configs in that category. The Left-Right arrows will not cycle to a config in sequential order (in fact in any order) when the Red Light is ON.

This is contrary to the functionality of previous versions of ToolBar, up to Version 4.0 where this problem was first noticed.

The use of the Red/Green/Light/Arrows interaction -- and the bypass mode of the Blue DropDown menu -- is very useful when writing new configs and building new scripts. This bug is likely un-noticed by other users.

I guess it would be possible to do away with the Green/Red Light distinction altogether and just use the Blue Dropdown menu to select any config not checked, but the Red light/arrow combination has been a much preferred way to cycle through other options when scripting and checking out new configs.

G-Force remains a great program.
