Hi,
just boght platinum version and got a bit disappointed because there's a bug in the standalone which makes it is quite useless-
built-in output source does nothing - with any application, or responsiveness / sensitivity setting. Internal mic works fine. Bought this stuff just to visualize spotify..
I'm running 2x2Ghz MacBook with 10.5.6. Is this some kind of known bug and what can I do to get it fixed?
just because GF does not work on your machine doesnt mean its a problem with GF or that you wasted 30 bucks. most problems stem from computers that are either not up to date or have been configured in such a way as to cause GF not to work.

I actually got response from the cust.serv. and in a short time. I just accidentally missed it because of my bad gmail skills, sorry about that.
Here's the whole response:

This is not a bug on our end but a restriction on Apple's end. (We do mention this on our website, though I apologize if this was overlooked.) Basically, Apple does not allow access to the output of the built-in soundcard within all Mac OSX computers for any third-party applications like ours, so unfortunately you will not be able to use our Standalone application to visualize audio sources such as unsupported media players or streamed audio from the internet. There is no easy (or legal) workaround for this. However, you should still be able to get our Standalone application to respond to any mic or line-in input as well as any externally connected soundcard or A-to-D converter you use.
I apologize for the inconvenience, however it is something that Apple enforces and not something we have a say in. If you feel that our software will not work for your purposes we would be happy to deactivate your license and issue you a refund.

you come here looking for help and you call me an idiot!
let me just say that I never said you needed extra drivers all I said was that they may be outdated or unsupported. and of course I was right.
then after I prove to you that your os 10.5.6 can be updated via download (and I also found an update link for osx 10.5.6.) you come back calling me names for trying to help.
so now you've complained about the GF program, you moaned about customer support even though they sent you the correct answer (which you didnt even bother to read ) and then say oh nice service sorry eveybody!!
you owe me the appology pal were do you get off calling someone an idiot when they have tried to help you! your whole thread here shows you to be one big idiot.

Yep, it's me who's an idiot. I was really pissed off because I thought I didnt get any response from a customer service, and that's why i was so mad about information you provided. It was my mistake, i'm very bad with gmail And yes it was mentioned at the home page that this feature isn't available at OSX version.
And sorry if you had to suffer my indiscrection. I'd still be glad if you show me how to update my 10.5.6, in the link you sent me there was nothing related to that. I've been mac user for a very long time and I know when my OS is up to date.
And it's also ok if admins delete this thread, not for me being ashamed but just the company getting bad reputation for no reason.

thank you
sure the first link I found was for an older os but I wasnt trying to spend to much time searching the net for you so I just linked the first responce I got, but if you go to the apple store you will find the updates in the support downloads section allthough I think you are up to date.
