Major FlowField Union Bug (Please Advise PDQ)

I'm running GF4 standalone, and notice to my disappointment--as I did in the last beta--that blank spaces are occurring where the outlines of one of the 2 "unionized" flowfields are supposed to be.
Union allowance is checked on by default; I unchecked and checked again when I first saw this happening.
I had brought this to the attention of the parties concerned in what I assumed to be the appropriate forum. I was hence under the illusion that this would be investigated before the release version came out.

Checking now to see if this is happening in the iTunes build...it is.

Please advise. Complete reinstall? Top to bottom deletion of all G-Force resource files, esp. in Prefs? It may be, come to think of it, that a remnant of an older iteration is still lurking about in my machine.

Going to re-read the Version Updates in the Docs.
