G-Force Standalone 4.3.2 (font not displaying properly)
Hello, is there/was there an issue in 4.3.2, where the Font selected in the Visualization Preference [eg, Footlight MT Light 28] would not display properly?
The settings I selected are Track text size 28, Track text font Footlight MT Light, Track text style Standard, Track text duration 15 seconds, Full screen mode 1024x768, Audio visualization source SB Live! 24-bit - What U Hear. Then I saved the theme and closed the Toolbar. (I have tried changing the font size from 9-48 and everything in between--NOTHING!)
But all I get is some stupid Arial-looking font! Arrrrrrrgh!!
Is there a "trick" to getting the font I have selected for a saved Theme to display properly? Thank you.
PS Forgot to add, I'm running Windows XP SP 3, Pentium 4, 4 GB RAM, 150 GB HD, NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS vid card. (Just uninstalled 4.4.0 and re-installed 4.3.2. Thx again.)

Hello Saganized
First make sure G-Force, and your media player are turned off, then go to C / Documents and Settings / Your Name / Application Data / SoundSpectrum / G-Force, and open (I use Winamp) so it would be open Preferences (Winamp). The pre-selected Track text is MS Shell Dlg, I have never tried another font but, I do have the font size set to 24. Make the changes you want then save the preferences file, (which saves your changes). Start your media player, and G-Force, and your changes should take effect.

BTT, thank you, that worked fine (after I un-hid the folder...oops).
However, do you happen to know why font selection doesn't work from within the Toolbar? Is that one reason the Toolbar is being eliminated?
I know for a fact it did work recently--at least, up until the time I installed 4.4.0 and then re-installed 4.3.2. Answer at your leisure...I'm off to sleep...thanks again.

normally I dont have the track text displayed, I was able to change the font in the winamp plugin no problem. I tried the same in the standalone and even though all the text under the splash logo was changed I cannot get the standalone to display the track text.

Hello Saganized
SoundSpectrum are discontinuing the Toolbar and changing to a GUI so that all their visualisation programs have the same appearance, including the new programs they are currently developing.
The person with expert knowledge of the Toolbar is Jerohm who hopefully will read this thread and offer his advice.

Re: G-Force Standalone 4.3.2 (font not displaying properly)
just a guess, but I doubt there is ANYTHING wrong with GF/toolbar. Fonts are distributed as either TrueType, which is a scaled font, or [only] discrete point sizes. Since "Footlight MT Light" is NOT a standard MS Windows distributed font, I suspect that it is only supported in certain discrete point sizes... (i.e., NOT one you are trying/available to use). Try something like "Times New Roman", which should definitely be distributed as TrueType... and should work.Saganized wrote:... Update:
I didn't have the font on my Win7/64 machine, so I downloaded it from Here, installed and tried 24 and 48 pt... and it seems to work... I think...
BTT, yeah, it has been more than 6 years; but eventually I was able to use Footlight MT Light, size 28. I can't recall the exact steps I used or the order in which I made them; however, it was some combination of the info you gave. Mostly, I just fiddled around and "stumbled into it." Just wanted to say, Thank You, very much!
