G-Force 4.3.2 vs RealPlayer 15.0.2.72

Post by Saganized »

Hello. Do you have any update on fixing/updating G-Force 4.3.2 to run correctly with the new version of RealPlayer (15.0.2.72) on Win XP SP 3?

If you'll recall, when I selected G-Force as the Visualization, RealPlayer LOCKED UP and was UNRESPONSIVE--I mentioned this to you folks in a separate email about a month or so ago. (In the meantime, I un-installed both G-Force AND RealPlayer, then re-installed both programs, WITHOUT using G-Force as a Visualization for RealPlayer.)

Thank you.

Hello Saganized

Are you saying you have been in contact with SoundSpectrum regarding this issue and, have you received a reply from them?

This is a link to their support department:-

If you have already filed a report at the above and, not received a reply, let me know and, I will get some help for you.

Thank you, BTT. I did fire off a note to them and they said they were aware of an issue, which would be fixed soon (this was only a month ago or so). I'm surprised other users have not had the same issue (or at least, haven't mentioned it). All the other RealPlayer Visualizations work fine...but when I selected G-Force, RealPlayer froze right up. So, I described to them what I did: un-install both programs, then re-install both; making sure I didn't associate G-Force as a RealPlayer Visualization.

I tried re-downloading both programs as well, thinking perhaps one or both might have been corrupted somehow...and no luck. When I tried to use G-Force as my RealPlayer Visualization, RealPlayer froze up. (I should add that when it froze up, G-Force didn't even start in RealPlayer. However, the STANDALONE G-Force works just fine, and also works fine with WMP 11.)

Thanks~

Saganized, as you may have heard in the response to your support ticket, we are aware of issues with our plug-ins running in the newest version of RealPlayer and we are working to address this issue in a coming update. Unfortunately, I cannot give a specific timeframe on when the next round of updates will be released, though we hope to have them out soon. If RealPlayer is your primary media player of choice and your license is still active, when we do release an update which addresses full RealPlayer support, open up another ticket through our Contact form and we will extend the expiration of your license to account for the time you have been unable to use G-Force within RealPlayer.

SitSparky, hi and thanks for replying. Yes, I recalled it was being worked on; was just curious if progress had been made since it had been a while. No big deal, as WMP is my primary music player; nevertheless thank you for offering the extension. Again, thanks for replying. I'll look forward to the next update. :)
