Deleting My Post (32bit vs 64bit)
For a paying customer and a first time poster, having purchased G Force and Aeon, and renewing at a cost, you'd think you'd be treated with a bit more respect than having your post deleted after I admitted I made a simple mistake. I don't know, I guess the least you could have done as a moderator is, at the very least, PM me and let me know you were glad I figured it out. I will say this, after this I will not purchase/renew anything else from Soundspectrum. Your simple rude act has lost you a customer that brought residual income. To just delete my post as if I was some imposition was pretty unprofessional. No doubt your option to delete, but you've just sent a poor message to me about what kind of company Soundspectrum is. Word of mouth advertisement can be a great way to get your product out into the market, but it can also work against you. My word of mouth will not work in favor of you. Thank you for treating me as if I mattered to Soundspectrum.
Good luck

I am sorry EdH63 !

It had nothing to do with you not meaning anything to soundspectrum or this forum.
BTT and I both offered our help so that should have show that we do infact care about the members of the forum.
PMs are turned off by forum administrators and I do not work for soundspectrum I volunteer my time in this forum to try and help people troubleshoot G-force and to cleanup after spammers so please dont take it out on SS it has nothing to do with them.
Again I appoligise for the unintended offense.
sincerly
joe
I really appreciate your follow-up on this. I probably did over react a bit, no, I did over react, and I apologize to you. My knee-jerk reaction to the delete was most likely a residual effect from spending time on other forums where the moderation is really out of hand. I shouldn't have been so quick to assume your forums were the same. It's all good and I do appreciate the time you guys took to address my original post.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you.

actually, now that I think about it a 32 vs 64 bit thread isnt a bad idea. There was a lot of talk about how G-force should go 64 bit or not so maybe the question should be reopened we can actually find out if its better or not.
Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
Hello EdH63
I believe in this instance that my friend juxtiphi was a little quick off the mark with the delete button, it shouldn't have happened. That said juxtiphi has offered his sincere apologies which would not happen on many a forum.
juxtiphi has been a long standing member of the SoundSpectrum forum for many years and has gained much respect. Your input to the forum is very much appreciated and we hope to see you posting again in the future.
It's good to see things have been sorted between yourself and juxtiphi.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

For the sake of helping you know what my resolve was, I will re-post what was deleted.wallter wrote:I haven't had the time to read how he solved that issue... I mean, really... deleting thread cause the problem is solved? How could this help me with my problem not showing 64bit Aeon in WMP and crashing Windows Media Centre after installing Aeon?
As embarrassing as this was, I was running the Windows Media Player instead of the Media Center. It didn't register with me right away that I was using the 32bit player all along. After recognizing that, I posted that I had seen my ignorance and, after running Aeon in Windows Media Center, it actually did say that it was running in 64bit mode. The post was deleted with the assumption all was good by the Moderator. After working this through here on the forums with Moderation, I see there was no ill intent by deleting my post, so I have no ill feelings at all. However, I cannot speak into your case and for the issues you're having.
In hindsight, it's probably a good idea to leave the posts on the forum and let the resolve be read by others. It was just a surprise to see my post gone so quickly when I returned to see if there had been any responses. No harm, no foul.

[NOTE TO MODERATOR]
It might be a good idea also to post a sticky and remind folks that the Windows Media Player is a 32bit player, while the Windows Media Center is a 64bit player. I may have missed it if you do have it posted somewhere already, so please forgive my redundancy if that's the case. Depending on whether or not one would have a 32bit or 64bit system might determine what they are seeing at the bottom of the screen when they boot up Aeon in their player.
Ha Ha! it wasnt me!wallter wrote:Thanks for your answer. Anyway, due to my WMC crashing stuff, someone has been very bussy erasing... I can't open any thread searching 'crash WMC'

like I said I dont normally delete anything but spam so dont expect it to be a recurring thing.

So after all that what ARE the differences between the 32 and 64 bit versions? Is it that they just run more efficiently or are there visual improvements in some way?
Also, is the 64bit version only available for WMP? I just updated and in winamp it says that Aeon is 32 bit?
Or if there's a thread already on this please point me in the right direction.
Cheers

G-force runs in 64 bit mode in the 64 bit versdion of WMP only, Aeon and G-froce only run in 32 bit mode for winamp.Director wrote:So after all that what ARE the differences between the 32 and 64 bit versions? Is it that they just run more efficiently or are there visual improvements in some way?
